User Manual Revision 2.0 41
4. Troubleshooting
4.1. Read this section before any other
Before beginning changing anything on your setup, a complete verification of all points below is very important
and could save a lot of time debugging the calibration and using the Beamage-M2.
4.1.1. Verify your alignment
Please refer to the There is a curve in the alignment of the beams section (4.5).
4.1.2. Verify that you are moving back your camera (Moving Stage Calibration Mode)
Please refer to the Moving stage calibration mode section (4.12.1).
4.2. M

Instability between each M

measures could be due to many factors. Please verify each of these points to
improve and stabilize your results.
The three times Rayleigh length are not achieved on either side of the minimum waist position. See
section 4.14.
Beams at the extremities do not have enough intensity″. See section 0.
4.3. Beams are not aligned horizontally
If the beams are not well aligned horizontally, minor adjustments can be done with the X-ADJ screw that is on
the side of the M
2
Module. The X-ADJ screw rotates the beams around the first spot.
Figure 4-1 X-ADJ Screw Alignment to Rotate the Beams Around the First Spot
If the rotation is around the last spot, a 180 rotation using the X-ADJ screw must be done to bring back the first
spot on the left of the screen.
